Scotland - The Home of Golf

It’s clear to see why Scotland is “The Home of Golf”, as we delight in extending a warm welcome to both inaugural and seasoned golfers alike. Also regarded as the birthplace of golf, many of the early courses created by Tom Morris are still popular to this day. Our golfing season commences early April through to October and to compliment your vacation, we would be pleased to recommend non-golfing activities such as historical tours and distillery trips. You may even consider a trip to the home town or birthplace of your forefathers.

Gleneagles is one of the greatest names in the world of golf with the King’s Course being it’s jewel. This beautiful moorland course was designed by James Braid over 100 years ago and is perfectly placed within equally beautiful settings.

Great Golfing Destinations

Our knowledge of Scotland’s golf courses is quite considerable and are happy to assist you creating a golfing itinerary to suit your own requirements or quite simply look after your travel arrangements between courses. Scotland’s Chauffeur visit some of the more challenging golf courses – St. Andrews Links, Royal Troon, Gleneagles King’s Course, Turnberry, and Prestwick Golf Club – birthplace of The Open Championship. We also like to sometimes venture ‘off the beaten track’ to hidden gems such as Cabot Highlands, Sutherland’s Royal Dornoch and Mull of Kintyre’s Machrihanish Dunes.

Although your interest is primarily for Scotland’s golf courses, you may also be rather partial to a “dram” or two, so why not consider visiting some of our whisky distilleries?   See our latest blog post which explains the combination of golfing with whisky tours.
